Street Riders armour installation

Street Riders protective hoodies and jackets are designed to allow easy armour installation and removal.

The video below shows Street Riders Premium CE2 armour being installed into Street Riders Original hoodie. Other hoodies and jackets, are very similar.

Street Riders armour kit contents

  • Back armour
  • Elbow armour (2 pieces). These are longer than shoulder armour.
  • Shoulder armour (2 pieces). These are shorter than elbow armour.

Installing and removing elbow armour

  1. Unzip the external elbow pocket.
  2. Insert the elbow armour with the pointy side facing towards the hand and curved outwards side facing away from arm.
  3. Zip up the external elbow pocket.
  4. Repeat on the other elbow.
  5. Removal is opposite of installation.
Note some hoodie/jacket models have an internal armour pocket. In this case you will need to reverse the sleeve and install the armour from the inside.

Installing and removing back armour

  1. Open the back armour pocket, by opening the velcro strip located inside the hoodie around waist.
  2. Insert the back armour with the flat face towards the spine, with the wide section of the back armour positioned around shoulders. Gently fold to fit through the pocket. Ensure armour is flat once inside pocket.
  3. Close velcro strip.
  4. Removal is opposite of installation.

Note some hoodie/jacket models have an external zip. The back armour velcro strip is located at the top of the hoodie around shoulders. Install the back armour the same way as step 2 above.

Installing and removing shoulder armour

  1. Open the shoulder armour pocket, by opening the velcro strip located inside the hoodie around shoulder.
  2. Insert the shoulder armour with the flaps facing nearest to the velcro strip and curved outwards side facing away from shoulder.
  3. Close velcro strip.
  4. Repeat on the other shoulder.
  5. Removal is opposite of installation.

Ensuring correct installation

Once installed, put on your Street Riders hoodie/jacket and check for correct fitment. All armour pieces should align well with your back, shoulders and elbows. The pockets have provision for minor adjustability to ensure a perfect fit. If you are having difficult fitting armour due to stiffness, place armour in room temperature environment until it becomes soft enough to manipulate into position.
